What We're About
The Mission of Family Life Center of Greene County Indiana, Inc. is to assist all the members of a family with the support required to enhance the emotional, social, mental, spiritual, and physical balance in their lives. In doing this, we support our community with teaching, training, and support.
The Method of supporting a family is making a relationship one person at a time.
The Services within Family Life Center are direct services for physical support such as free clothing, cleaning products, hygiene supplies and food.
The Programs are support groups, individual emotional support through life skill involvement and educational support with the BackPack Program and Community Christmas.
The Network of agencies and organizations enhances the mission of Family Life Center. It is this network that provides means of the wrap around support for the family. This network of involvement includes the judicial system, mental health agencies, public and private schools, local businesses, not for profit organizations and faith based groups. Family Life Center works and moves within this network.
The Purpose is to give dignity to those within our reach.
Services
Clothes are distributed free of charge to individuals in greater Greene County. The clothing floor has clean, in-season, and sized clothes.
The Food Pantry is available 24 hours a day. Refrigerators are located outside on the sidewalk. Some of our items include meat, dairy, eggs, produce, canned food, boxed food, hygiene items, and drinks.
Our on-site NaloxBox houses opioid rescue kits, which are available to the community. We also provide training for overdose emergencies.
We are always accepting volunteers for the Family Life Center. Our departments are clothing, food pantry, maintenance, kitchen lunches, office data, and receptionist.
